urgent help please with 2.0

I bought a 2.0 nova and the cav gsi engine blew up. i have bought and replaced it with a astra gsi engine. which was fitted last weekend. i need to connect up the electrics.some plugs seem different will they have the same ecu, or will i have to use the astra ecu and loom. cheers.

ps i've been stiched by my mechanic. how long roughly would it take to wire up the engine. and how much roughly wolud a mechanic charge.

Took me and my mate about an hour, we are both mechanics .. or kinda anyway lol... Ive used the astra gte main plug and put it onto my nova loom so if engine comes out just undo the plug. so dont have to disconnect loadsa wires to get out. We soldered all the joints aswell.

Regarding mechanics prices .. we only charge 20 p/h labour where as main dealer garages i know of charge 75/h + VAt !!!!!!!!!!
