valver coilovers

just ordered my front coilovers today and they asked what front springs i wanted with them!! they went from 8lb-about 600lb what should i get for my 2l 16v??

i think you need about 250lbs but you might want to confirm that

well i got them today and there 225lb!! i put them on and when i have adjusted them to a nice low setting and put the whell back on the spring rubs against the wheel!! ive got 7x17 and there the right offset has anyone else come across this??

I had this problem with my Avo's. Easiest way would have been to get shorter springs to start with, but it all depends how sevre the problem is. Most people run alloy top mounts and this allows you to move the shock further in, then use eccentric nuts to adjust the camber, this moves the shock in and the wheel back out thus solving your problems. Mine wasn't too bad so I adjusted the height back up a little and they didn't run anymore. I'm sure someone will post more information later.

yea I had this problem, but mine was the platform catching which is about the same diameter.

I Spaced my wheels out about 8mm just to make sure there was enough clearance

i think its gonna be ok now they sent me 10.5inch springs so ive adjusted it to a resonable height and the adjustable platform was well low so im getting 8inch spring and the rose jointed top mount!! what pound springs should i get?? there 225 at the mo but i mite get about 280lb??

ill be getting 300lb springs for the front, hope fully this will give a fairly firm ride.

300lb!! im just gonna get 225lb cos i dont want to hard of a ride!! and im gonna get rose jointed top mounts!!
