wing mirrors

i want a nice set of wing mirrors to compliment my mk1.. my ones are broke so before i just get some more standared ones i wonna see if there are any nice wing mirrors that look nice on a mk1 ive looked into m3's dtms but there to round and look a bit odd id like to shoten the standared ones sore it in the max power haynes manual looked cool but wouldnt know where to start so i reckon il just buy some but which ones do i buy !!! :o your opinion counts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

u have to cut some metel away to make them fit flat aganst the door
havent done them yet but will do
dont look thet hard at all really

The manta mirrors are easy to fit, all you need to do is make up a base plate for them, i used a universal m3 mirror fitting kit ?16 from Ripspeed or u could do what elsey did and use the plastic covers from the inside of the doors.

But those mirrors are a bitch to get hold of and are quite expensive to :(

No, Just look on Ebay, try putting a post in the wanted section and just search via the net in places like manta clubs and vauxhall sites. Elsey paid about ?100 for his i think, I paid ?50 for mine from sum bloke on Ebay.RESULT :D

Who knows i might even sell mine soon if i decide they dont go together with my car.

grab a new'ish max power and find R-tec's advert in there
there are some mirrors called (flick flick) vitaloni mirrors
they're like the engelmans but instead of folding in these poke out
err ill try and find some pics 4 ya geeze but anyway theyre only
50quid and there universal :idea:

Or mod your mirrors and put indicators in a mission but if you shorten them them try and find the renault 5 indicators

i dunn a trial fit with some today they look well ...... different but once there the same colour they will look cool i hope at the end of the day they aint costing me nout i got some liein about so just gotta try and see il post pics friday of the outcome!!!! watch this space
