anyone got any tips on how to sort out the rear arches of my nova, tried everything but they still rust.
would it b worthwhile getting them sorted in the a body shop?
ideas??

?10 for the arches then i would say from a body shop they would charge u at least ?100. mine cost me ?10 to get welded on then im just having the whole car re-sprayed soon for cheap anyway

Depends on the state of thgem but if they keep rustng after youve fixed them up it sounds like theyre comproomised.

Unless youre confident at peeling the outer and inner arches apart I'd say get a body shop to look at it. The average price for new rear outer arches is about ?30 ech - then fitting, blending, sealing and spraying...

Ifr you want to assess the real damage, remove the inner 1/4 panel from inside the car and peer in the gap - if its all rusty then the inner is compromised (meaning the lip on the arch edge is leaking water - common withnovas especially if rolled/ground back for bigger wheels.). I found a good amount of fibreglass after a thorough derustig worked wonders.

mate, could you say how exactly you did this...

thing is...next month I'm (hopefully) getting my rear arches sorted...and I want it ALL sorted not just a quick crap job...
