Insurance for a 18year old on a 1.2i

My brother past his driving test today and he's joined the nova clan. He brought a K-reg 1.2 SXi at the weekend and now he needs to get insured on it. He's 18. Does anyone know a good insurance company that would insure him cause ive had afew quotes for him in the region of ?2000.

Yeah they quoted ?1800 and you have to pay the whole lot in one go.

when i was 18 with my 1.2i sx i went with CIS for ?1080 TPFT under my own name. that was 3.5 years ago though

back when i was 17 it cost me ?705 to insure a 1.2i fully comp

Tesco are usually a bit cheaper = www.tesco.com

Both of those do online quotes, so should give u a rough idea.

Alternatively HIC - they do a 4 monthly plan where u can pay a deposit then four monthly instalments. I can look out some other web sites for online quotes, but HIC will probably be cheapest.

I reckon you'll be looking at quotes around ?500-800 tpft, or up to double that for fully comp (depending on where you live)

hic wont insure him mate, you have to be at least 19 to go with em.
i was insured with tesco when i first started driving, tell him to do pass plus aswell! i think you pay about 150 for it and it got me 500 off me insurance! :D

Just looked at CIS and they want 2200 without pass plus and 1900 with it. He's gonna be doing it with in the next month or so. Ill try tescos later.

?750ish with Liverpool victoia, just turned 19, mods declaired, lowred,a lloys, tints, bodykit(spoiler is that i said but they just put it on as a boykit) exhaust, induction kit which goes down as Engine modifcations.
I put exces upto ?400 tho coz i think it as if i have to pay insurance ?400 towards car being fixed its going to be alot of damage, and if i cause the damage on someone elses car then it would of been my own fault so i deserve it. Plus it lowers the premium bit more.
