Weak Actuator?

Hi, my Turbo doesn't seem to be boosting as High as it used to. When you floor it, for a split second the boost gauge goes roung to 14PSi, then goes back down to around 11-12PSi for the rest of the RPM in that gear.
I've checked the Boost hoses and there is no leak.

I've heard of Actuators going weak and not holding boost.... :| Can anyone clarify this?

Any other ideas on what it could be?

If it turns out to be a weak one, I've got a brand spanking new one for a Courtenay supplied Turbo Technics T2 Turbo...? No idea what its worth.

i have heard of turbo cars having over boost, this is where it boosts high at first then settles down at a constant boost, and it does it every time you floor it. i cant remember where i was told but all i did when my actuator went weak is pull the pipe off it :lol:
