things are coming along nicely now for the val;ver conversion in may. got my mounts this morning from brian_s, all shiny stuff ie bolts header/catch tanks. head has been skimmed in the process of rebuilding it now. next job is the bottom end, got some new bearings coming for it sometime this week. also have new front hubs/bearings and nice black uprites courtesy of ian at motorsport direct with some studs and nuts thrown in, new track rod ends(which will need inverting). picking up some V^ discs for me calipers ive had sitting around for ages now.

still trying to get hold of some 22 spline shafts, its proving to be a pain in the raisin hole!

Come on people surely some body has so drive shafts that there not using. I want to do some thing interesting this summer.

yeah no inches neil is looking for a 22 spline drive shaft. i looked the other day around a vauxhall specialist scrappy down here for him. no joy either!

why spend ?500 from PVD wen u can get it cheaper.
If your running the SRI F16 gear box then dop this.

This is what i've done, Got some Cav MK2 inner CV's ?60 for both, and Nova GTE shafts with 22 splines ?70ish each, all these bits are BRAND new. so thats ?200 with brand new stuff. or if u can find gte shafts from scrappies there about ?60 for both.

Mine WILL be finished on wednesday, as long as mike can get up here!

Will let u know how it feels :D .

didnt realise you could still get the 22 spline brand new, the EPC only lists one shaft type for the GTE/GSI

cool. Waist of time buying the pvd kit if u can get everything cheaper.

Luckily the only things I had to buy were the mk2 cav inner cv joints.

i though vaux only sold driveshaft sets? I,e one drives shaft with two c.v joints and boots all assembled?

May be wrong though.

I'll have a look at my scrappy at the weekend
