Yes very illegal, i used to run a tiny one in the corner on the front and a white on on the back.

the old rules were a ?30 dont know if this is till the same but i dont do that anymore was jsut a laff at the time, i droev for a month without being pulled, i was lucky!

its not really worth it but if you are going to use for shows then fari enough :)

I got away with illegal plates for over a year, got pulled and given a 30 pound fine, they said that if i was caught with them again i would get done for perverting the course of justice.

the 1 i got for the front of mine is jus like the square 1 but 2 sizes down
and when movin u cant tell but when its stood still wiv a normal square 1
it looks tons better...

everything is illegal in the eyes of the police unless it involves stealing/breaking into cars thats fine.

You could get the standard sqaure plates made up for about ?10 each @ your local halfords.

There used on alot of 4x4's and are 100% road legal.

Oh and dont forget the rear plate must have a light shining on it when its dark.
