they should come with F15, but they are a pain when the clutch needs changing

a lot of people use F13, from GTE/GSI, plus there ceaper to replace.

imo F13.

EGR = exhaust gas re-circulation - full explanantion in haynes but basically some of the exhaust gases are siphoned off ( I think No.2 Cylinder) via a hole frm out of the exhaust port. This is re-circulated into the inlet to be mixed with air/petrol mixture and then re-burnt.
The idea is lowered emissions.

Its only a prob in as much as heads with it have a hole running thru the head exiting into the inlet manifold. If you wanna fit 40's or tb's etc this hole needs blocking

i need some more info on the wiring side of this conversion, do all x16xe's have a transponder key? also how much of the loom from the donor car is needed?

Also are there any guides on the web for this conversion as the one on the valvers website isn't there anymore as is dec burkes guide :(

try and get a non transpondered one or a c16xe

wiring is easy

2 wires in the bay

and a bunch in the drivers footwell

you don't need a guide... it's haynes stuff

so you can get non transponded x16xe's then. how much of the loom do you need ste as i have found an engine but he has used the loom for a c20xe conversion on his car :?:
