they'll prob rub on the front. i have 16's with a 40mm drop and its close. so i think 17's will def rub.

Tom, I've got 195/45/15s on mine, dropped 60mm on spax RSX. The rears have been rolled and were ok with one passenger (can't take any now unless they want to sit on my [worryingly hot] amp lol), two was a bit much. The front's are ok (not rolled) but hit a bump heavy and it'll take a chunk out your tyre.

When grinding the off the lip make sure you dont go past the spot welds that hold the two skins together otherwise you will take alot of strengh out of the rear of the car.

As for the wheels they shouldnt rub on the rear much but expect a little.

did you do ur rear arches or a company?

My sister had it done when she owned the car before me (et38 wheels + standard suspension + bumps = crunch!), she had it done by a local bodyshop - afaik it wasn't too expensive.

I thought it was always better to roll the arches rather than cut them because its less likely to rust...? And knowing what some of the bodyshops are like round here they'd just randomly hack away with a grinder...

Is it mk1 or mk2 cuz i think mk2s have a little more clearance on the arches. Ive got 195.45.15s lowered 60 and it dont rub at all.

Its a mk2... but the wheels are on the wrong offset (et38 afaik)

Remember the bigger the wheel the lower the profile tyre used.

You could use bump stops to help prevent the wheels from rubbing although the ride would be a little harsh.
