Just wondering, does anyone have any information about civics?

Been thinking about getting one recently but still in 2 minds whether to or not. Does anyone know if a site exist for civics like novaload?

Ive had a brief search on google but couldnt find anything.

Has anyone got one/driven one etc?

What is everyones opinion on them?

Thanks
Gaz

i think there alot to insure, but generally handle well, an the engines are reliable.. type R's Vtis etc all have a 9000 rpm rev limit wich is nice, but u realy have to rev them to get the power out...... sounds nice though, loadsa kits, wheels etc for them, but again i think parts are expensive..... depends wot u want to do to it i guess........

The 'Nova' of Jap cars.

What they're driving by joy riders / boy racers and burberry cap wearing chads listening to Ja Rule at full volume with a 4" Peco annoying everyone, and they rust quicker than you can de-rust them and they cough and splutter at the first sign of freezing temperatures?!

I was looking at getting a Civic VTi last year, from what I read about them they are very reliable. The parts I looked at were no more expensive than the equivalent parts for a nova(general servicing parts etc)

I didn't really look into changing engines/brakes etc.

the insurance wasn't high either, I got quoted ?550 fully comp for a 1.6VTi valued at ?3000 (I was 24, 3 years no claims)

hope that's some help.

I meant there is absolutely SHITLOADS of parts (tuning/styling) available for them, they are not expensive to service/repeair and insurance is actually surprisingly low.

And unlike a nova they are not rust buckets and very reliable.

I am getting myself a 1.6 VTi too, but a pre-96 one as that's the one that loooks the best to me. The new one is fair expensive and i wouldn't choose it over other cars available in the price-range, whilst the post 96 one looks too bloated for my liking.

But they're not THAT cheap, so you wont really see many 'boy racers' ragging the crap out of them.

And parts are only expensive if you go for thevery expensive stuff from the likes of Zigen, HKS and etc.

imho the only stuff worth fitting is the ?? stuff... and the only reason the cars are so ??? is cause of the boy racers pushing the prices up

u gettin rid of the nova mate

In 2 minds really. Theres just so much i could do to it or change back what i dont like but just thinkin of it depresses me and cant be arsed at all with it. I'm fed up of the bucket seats but cant be arsed to change'em back, cant be arsed to put backseats/seatbelts etc back in. Fed up of the stiff ride blah blah blah.

Just wanted to have alook at some other option thats within my price range for the car and something that insurance wont cripple me on.

if i go ahead with it i will have roguhly 2k +/- acouple of hundred the the car and anywhere below 1200 for insurance. Bear in mind i have 9 points.

Sorry to sound like a moaning faggot but i get in my car in the morning and sometimes think to myself why the fcuk did i do this lol, it is just so uncomfy!

From the comments ive had the civic sounds the best option atm.

My civic is reliable, it starts first time an the enigine is sound never had any problems with it. But if u damage body work, new panels cost quite a bit, mine atm needs a new rear quarter panel an front door been quoted ?1700 for repairs so it is fairly steep  but i love ma car and id deff have one again. Insurance is a killer its only a dx (1.3/4 16v) group 10 insurance an payin ?1200 tpft (with 2 crashes under me belt)
