as my fan decided to chew one of my ht leads i was wondering what people thought about mega leads/those blue ones / split fire ones etc. do you think they justify paying 50 quid for them?

hi,

load of bollocks - just get good quality plugs and leads from your local motor factor - does the same job and half the cost

in a test in revs years ago all leads were the same.... apart from mafco pro they gave 10bhp extra..... revs tested them twice cause they couldn't beleve it either..... guess what brand of leads most motorfactors stock?

"Hi Guys,

I have read a group test of aftermarket spark plug leads comprising of
Mafco, Splitfire, Nology, Lumination, Hotwires and Megaleads.

The Mafco Pro Leads came out top with a peak power gain of 10.4 bhp and
Torque gain of 9.9lbft. The others ranged from (Splitfire) only slightly
less to (Nology) no gain whatsoever."

Looks like that bump didn't work lol

but 10bhp gain for some leads? Seems an awful lot to me just from some decent HT leads... is that possible???

unless the old ones are totally shagged then theres no chance in hell they are gonna gain you 10bhp

ste are you for real?

i run mafco ones on my 2.0 16v... i have no problems with them... the car put out 163 bhp on the rollers

revs did the test twice... 10bhp both times...
