Its been a long time in the making (almost a year) but the model is finally ready to be cast and production start!

Heres some pics of the 1st cast cleaned up and tacked together (just missing wing mirrors and underside).

Once a mould is made (next week), I'll be able to bang out the body shells and have them ready for all those patient folks who've been waiting.

The only other bits to do is the underside but I need to wait till I have a final cast body shell before I can do that for measurements...

All I then need to do is cast the body parts and make the more odd looking ones - stick them together and build custom boxes...

New website is almost ready too

Its been an excellent project and I cant wait to see a finished model all painted!

Once production has started I'm branching out to the 5 door, saloon and then Corsa's and maybe even Saxo's ( :o ) - its all cash at the end of the day!

Looking sweet.
But what will happen with the wheels? Will it be those ones or are there plans? Cos those ones are split 6 spokes at the front and split 5 spokes at the rear!!
:D

the featured one is a MK2 GSi but the fronts are interchangeable so I can easily make a MK1 GTE. The plans are to make the kits customied to each car so if you have a non standard Nova body kit (ie GTE.GSi) like a Novadose or Abyss then you can have that kit - these are slightly more complicated so may be a fraction more but not much.

The alloys onthe model as pointed out by Jules are different - one 5 spoke (off a 1:18 scale TVR!) and one is a modified TVR copy with 6 spokes made by myself based on Mike Oxfords Team Dynamics ones. Still a small amount of finishing on them (centres and small detail on spoke edges) but pretty much done...

Just finished making Mikes DTM Mirrors and finished the underside today. Pics below...

you can have all the quim in the world.

ade
06-02-04, 07:20 PM
no that would be messy!

Reminds me of an old Absolutely sketch with old Burt who was about 80 and kept chasing peas around his plate "never catch them buggers!"

Did a sketch where he was going to bingo "that was loaded with quim and when you got one wot you gotta do is stimulate their clematis!"

Then he slapped on a load of old aftershave and removed the trout from his trousers!

:o  :o

Feckin hilarious!

(may have only been available in Scotland and the midlands - mid 90's - also contained Morweena Banks doing the small "its true it is " girl and Frank the p1ss head who did a crap in the back of a taxi!
