a mate of minbe wants to fit a set of 40's onto his 13sr, ive found him a set of 40's with the correct inlet manifold for a 13sr. i seem to remember reading elsewhere that these will need a different alternator bracket?is this true and if so where can one be bought from or can the original one be modded??
also, does the original sr accelerator cable work fine with them?
anything else need changing at all??
cheers

the cable can be made to fit by chopping the nipple of the end normally to fit the webber linkage.

the alternator will need a bracket to lower it as the alternator will not allow the carbs to fit.

yeah the alternater bracket will need to be modified only problem here is finding the right fan belt to fit. You need a shorter one as it wont extend as far, ive still yet to find one for mine :(

although the cable can be made to fit i would say that u would be best buying a twin cable setup for durability!!

To get a fan belt that fits go to halfords and find one the right length.

Halfords has them all hanging up and numbered in order of size.

Just fit it in the carpark and make sure its the right one.

Job done.
P.S. Still took me six months to figure this one out tho.
