It sometimes wont start

Hello, I have an Astra GTE MKII and once in a while it fails to start. All the dash lights and level indicators come on and the engine turns over but will not fire up. It has been into a garage and they can't find the problem? It was thought the immobiliser was the cause but that has been ruled out. If I leave the car for a short while it then starts. Has anyone encountered this before?

i will have a word with a mate of mine and pm you over the weekend, he has got one of those engines in a mk1 astra shell on tb's and its pushing 160bhp so he knows the engine back to front
