Has anybody heard this bollocks?????

E plate onwards astra GTE 16v
First ones had coscast heads (more on that later)

Then Cav GSI 2000 and 2000 4wd, up to J plate, then cav sri from J plate to L plate had 2.0 EX (red top)
From H to M the calibra 16v had a red top, the later ones, (L onward) have distributorless ingnition packs ( featured on very last cav GSi's as well)
Last but not least as fitted STANDARD to the Lotus Nova (yes they do exist)
ALL turbo engines up to R reg (calibra) and M reg (Cav turbo's) were NON ECOTEC even if they say they are.

My mate Marcus owns that 'lotus' Nova. Its been in his garage for the last 4 years! He's planing to rebuild it soon :D

yea they were the 8v lumps,,

isnt it true that lotus made them and was gonna bring them out but due to 3 days of hard testing on a track due to the face that the bay wasnt welded or nething made stiffer the chassis were bent so they fukkd the idea off?

you can have a lotus anything if youve got the money; take it to them. look at the top gear featured lotus lada.

i heard there were a couple of prototypes but they never actually existed in the real world @(ie bare shells with engines and seats at Hethel but never mot'd or anything...??)#

i heard this off my mate who works for vauxhall. legend has it they were gonna do an astra mk2 Lotus with LET in it...
