View Full Version : Fittin an exhaust trim

Hi all..

I am interested in fitting a chrome exhaust trim to my 1.2,
I cant affford to buy and have an exhaust fitted so this seems to be the only option..
However, my exhaust is bent and points downwards..
should i just cut it off to where it is straight and fit it onto there?

If thats all you can aford at the momment yeah cut the end off or it will be pointing down and look crap.

Have a look through the forsale page and see if you can pick up a decent second hand exhaust, there maybe one there not much more than the tail pipe you gonna buy :)

how much would it cost me to get it fitted though?

I dont personally have a method of getting the car above my head to do it, so it would need to be taken to a garage...
But how much would it cost?

Please dont fit an exhaust trim, they are the tackiest things ever and look disgusting.

nah you could make it look quite nice if you get a good 1 and do it well, just don't get anything too tacky! (like a 9inch oval one with neons... :evil: )

second hand exhausts are cheap enough might as well get one of these for not much more than a trim.

just buy a full ashley exhaust system. its only ?110. you'll notice the difference.

besides, you'll only look like a twat with a shit tail pipe trim. seriously dont be an arse. just buy the proper thing!
