has ne 1 used the boot shocks off another car as bonnet lifters
am sure i was told golf's are ok 2 use just wanna check before i go 2 scrappers 2morrow 2 get some also will one be ok or 2 :?:

I bought the chrome ones off ebay - about ?24 inc p+p - worth the money, fit straight on no modding and look good??

I used 2 mk1 metro boot lifters 1 wasn't enough and twisted my bonnet when it was raised, straight forward to fit but thay've lifted the corners of my bonnet up a touch.

Have a look at my rally car in my feature, in the engine bay pic you can see them fitted.....Makes for easy access to engine bay too...No bar in your way.

u get 2 wen u buy them as bonnet lifters cos one wud leave the bonnet bent down one side.
