car broke down tonight just sittin ther and it stalled all the electrics work and the fuel pump makes a noise when i turn the key and thats it !!!!any ideas would be gratefull oh and i bumped it and it ran for bout 5 secs then stalled again!!!!!!! :( :(

gearbox earth strap has snapped


get a heavy jump lead and connect it between the battery -ive and the engine block and i bet she'll start ;)

jump lead where? sorry im an idiot cant i replace the gearbox earth is it easy to locate where do connect the jump lead live on the bat and where exatly :(

NO - Not the live mate....

Connect the lead to the negative terminal and then the engine block.

ok called the aa out fixed the starter motor now i gotta buy a new distributor and that will fix my problems :D
