i have just got some 16's wheels and will be fitting them tomoz. i have worked out the overall diameter difference between them and my current 14's is 4 cm.

so the speedo is now going to be out. but by how much?
will 40 mph be say 37/38mph.

and would a digi dash be the best way to get it accurate again?

"new" Mph = (New Tyre Diameter/Old tyre diameter) * old indicated speed

btw the tyre diameter isnt the size stamped on the tyre, its twice the measurement between the center of the wheel and the road (once you have weight on it), ie middle to the flat bit lol

hope that helps

opps, sorry!

didn't want to go into major detail (pie r squared for the circumfrence and all that) just a rough ball park figure.
