going cheapest to dearsest youre choices are: replace it with a straight bit of pipe/ exhaust system with de-cat/ or system with manifold.

janspeed do a good system and manifold.

replace with a 1.2 carb center section is the cheapest way

and no you dont need one

just make sure you keep your lambda sensor, dont listen to people who say remove that when you take the cat off like my local garage said

ok thanks for the replies.so one more question wot is the lambda sencor.
how much bhp does removing the cat offer if any?

up to 10 bhp i think, doesnt it fuck ur emissions up without the sensor??

u will gain a few bhp, shud be able to tell the difference.

the lambda sensor controls the fuel/air mixture at low throttle, think its upto 40% throttle on the 1.2i. without it the ecu puts in a defualt value and runs rich to be on the safe side. this increases ur emissions and uses more fuel

unless your engine is modified to the point where the default mapping is actually running lean and instead of running rich you'll crack a piston or summat nice

lambda is there for a reason

keep it
