golf 1.4 with nos?

ok someone near where i live has a vw golf (quite a new 1 t reg or something) it is a 1.4 with nos.. apparently the nos is 100bhp boost, he thinks that he can beat my 2l 16v nova and my m8s astra gsi 2l turbo? i dont no nothing bout nos is it capable of this?? dunno wanna get shown up by him...lol o and btw he aint lying bout having nos cos i seen it..

it depends on what he means by beat you. if he means that he could beat you over a short distance, then maybe, but I think over longer distances your cars would win, due to the higher top speeds and the fact that his NOS would runout and he'd be back to a slow car again.

Last year i was up Crail Raceway (scotland) there was a wee 2ltr nova with it and it ripped the arse out everything i ran against from scoobies to beemers, so watch out, may get left eating his dust :o

100bhp boost seems a wee bit extreme though ?

yeah, i really can't see a 1.4 running a 100 shot of nos, even with all the strenghtening. The engine would never take it. I would say 50 shot max.

why anyone would spend money on a 1.4 golf is beyond me, even if it is 100bhp shot of nos (which i seriously doubt it is) the golf 1.4 is only 60hp anyways, add to that a big lardy arse!
its probably a fire extuingisher (sp?) or summin!

i shud think that even with the nos ur nova shud give hi ma fukkin good run 4 his money remebr the golf is a tank compared to the nova, the 1400s aint quik,
