is there any paint under the vinel that is along the bottom of your doors or would you need it respraying?
also whats the best stuff to use to get off the glue when removin your bumpstrips?

I dont mean the vinyl sorry, i mean the rough dark coating on the bottom of the 1.3SR's.

the vinal is easily removed with a hairdryer just pick it off works really well on warm days then use thinners 2 remove the glue
the bumpstrips i poured boilin water on em then pulled em off 2 get there glue off i used hair dryer and thinners picked it off

if its rough as you say it is. its probably been painted on rather than vynal, so it'd need smoothing and respraying

to get the strips off just heat them up with a hair dryer/hot water (both works best!) and slowly pull them off as the glue melts.
for the black paint type stuff, i used a kind of white spirit i found in my grandads garage, just had to use a lot of elbow grease and gave it a good t-cut + polish after! jobs a guddun! :D

hair dryer for the rubber bump strips. then a hairdryer or boiling water for the vinyl. i used a wallpaper steamer, made right light work of a very tedious job..

if it is vynil, a hairdryer will do the job
if its that shit tar like paint, youve got to think why is it there? is it full of rust and they've welded it up (or worse bodged it with filler/carboard) and then slapped the tar over the top to cover it :?:

on my 1.2 its that paint crap. i thought it was vinal but nope its paint :( im just gonna paint over it lol

mate you dont need to spray it, it will come off with white spirit
