I'm fitting a non injection (carbed) fuel tank into my Nova. It used to be injection but the new engine will be Carbed.

I've come across a problem. At the top half of the right hand side of the tank, there is an extra hose attachement, and i dont know what connects to it (see pic)

The bottom one is the fuel filler, the top left one is the overflow/breather pipe, but whats the little small one on the right? Is it needed? or can i just block it off?

There is an equalising system that uses inside and this vents thru this pipe and round the top of the seam of the tank

is it the fuel return from the carb?

tank breather connects to filler neck

The large one at the bottom, and the medium sized one at the top is for the filler neck. But the small one is an overflow pipe.
