any pics of a pitted valve

have cleaned up the valves on a 20XE head ive just got hold of, its not very old but the exhaust valves have took a lot of effort to clean up. there is some pitting on the mating faces where they seal in the valve seats, does any body know to what degree they are ok, or shall i just try and lap them in

any pics of too pitted valves would be a good guide

unleaded causes the pitting, cos of all of the crap they put in it. new valves are not that much money. take them to a local engineer for a second opinion.
