what to look for when buying a 2l turbo nova?

im considering buying one as a project theres one i got my eye, im going to look tomorrow! what should i look at, and listen for?

Its all the usual things. I would really check thoroughly for the std of workmanship in strengthening and general installation. You need a well strong front end to take the stick with no rot. Check the areas behind the turrets in front of the scuttle for rot and buckling. Also the front cross member can crack out round the tie bar mounts. Check the engine mounts and the type of driveshafts and g/box

The engine if std will prolly be ok - they can blue smoke a little bit on start up - depends how many miles and how good the servicing is. If the engine isnt std then its anyones guess as to what its like.

Whatever, you will find that its not a straight forward car to own or run. It will help a great deal if you are pretty clued up on sorting cars. Prepare for some grief :!: :lol:
