o.k then i'16 at the moment and i've got a 1.2 merit(5dr) it has got smoothed gte bumpers on it, a gte tailgate and some 15's i hav got a 1.4 sr cam that i want to put in it so i was just wonderin do you think i would get insured (when 17) with a GTE engine in it, or should i just put some twin webbers on my 1.2

also does anyone know what BHP a 1.2 with a 1.4 cam, twin webbers, and a skimmed head would produce

..cheers...

if u get insursed on a GTE engine just turing 17 then ill eat marks jock strap! u wont, not unless u wanna pay thousands, do more mods to your 1.2, but that will still be expencive.

any mods will be expensive at 17 mate, stick with ya 1.2, build up a few yrs no claims and get a bigger engine/faster car in a few years time! :D

its the easiest and cheapest way

if your goming to slap carbs on it you may aswell get a kent AST1 or 2 cam.

some basic head work (flow etc)

and you could see about 90-100bhp at the fly,. provided you do it all right etc.

there are a couple of silly point proving projects on the go/ in waiting just to show that it can be done with a 1200 lol
