The engine bay has now been welded (thanks 2 dan16v) and ive spent the weekend sealing it and spaying it. Im quite pleased with the results considering i spayed it with cans.

Should have the engine ready to go in next weekend!

Is that what's known as "Seam Welding the Engine Bay",
just going over the spots welds with a seam weld & then sealing them ?

Do you have a strengthening kit ?

Ive only seam welded around the strut tops and engine mounts, the chassis legs will be stitch welded from inside the arches.

Thats because it had only just been sparayed when i took the pics. Still has to be rubbed back with wet and dry, then laqured, once the paint has hardened:D

Good things come to those who wait

My car is getting strengthend next week for a XE conversion,
