i understand when fitting 17"s that if the width is 7 or less get an offset of 49, or if 7 or over, et45. However, if i have a 7 width with et42 is this pushing the boundaries a little? Also wil the amount its been lowered affect this too much, i was thinking i might have to raise it from -60mm all round which it is at the moment to -40mm

Any help would be great

cheers

James

it really is try it and see.

the rear beams on novas move more on some more than others. the arches are also often wider or narrower. it is rare the rear beam sits in the middle.

so try them

i run 205 17s at 42 and the outer tyre wall rubs ono my arch (being sorted now though)

TBH i would never go for a alloy that is less than a 45mm offset alloy in a nova, your asking for problems with tramlining and clearence issues. If you have to go for alloys over 7" wide then you do need alloys of less offset than 45mm but lets face it there are plenty ofhter alloys available in 7" wide and 45mm offset that will fit better.
