I need to put new cam and followers in, the lobes are all worn and generally sounds like a bag of nails. firstly what would be the best cam to put it, if an different? Im running 1.2 at the moment

secondly do any of the motor factors sell these etc or is it a dealer only thing?

the bag of nails sound is prolly your hydraulic lifters so i'd reccomend changing those too

u can get pattern parts but dunno what the quality will be like

i'd install a 1.4sr cam - about the best of standard cams imo

i got a 1.4 sr head lurking around somewhere i might strip it down and see what condition the cam is in, if its not too bad i'll whack it in. What about followers, lifters etc are they direct replacent from 1.4 to the 1.2 or not? If so would you recommend replacing components or just bunging the whole head on?

i used an ultra parts 1.4sr cam and followers... good value and good quality... new cam from vaux was ?130 :lol:
