I now have a CRIMINAL RECORD :(
Exactly 1 hour ago i was caught speeding coming off the stanningly bypass in Leeds, doing 54 in a 40 zone.
Pigs were hiding behind a fucking billboard!! I got a fixed penalty notice, 3 points on my license and a ?60 fine
-have to produce in 7 days!!
These are my first 3 points, been clean for 5 years and im gutted! :O
Am i right in thinking the points are on my license for 3 years?
Will theses points affect my insurance premium???????
One very unhappy novabud.

Yes the points are on your licence for 3 years. As for the insurance thing the answer is It Depends! Sorry but that's all i can tell you.

One of my mates got 5 points for 56 in a 30 zone but his insurers didn't put his premium up at all.

Bad luck though mate. Stanningley bypass is a bit of a twat all those gatsos, plus speed traps on a nice dual carriage way. one run all the way down there at 60 could cost you your licence. B45t4rd5.

points are valid for 3 years but stay on your licence for 4

valid as in totting up 3 yrs

most insurance ask for 5 years
some for 11 years especially drink driving

points accrued mid term should not effect it until renewal.
