horn problems

fitted an aftermarket steeringwheel, boss kit and horn.
problem is the horn dont work when the steering wheel is straight only when im turning... :(

any suggestions ?? its wired up all correctly i just cant get the bloody thing to work

Does it use like two contact plates to contact the horn button, if it does them that would explain why it works when you move the wheel as it then makes the connection.
I would say take the wheel of and make sure the connection is as good as possible, its only the steering wheel horn wiring that could be at fault if it worked with the standard wheel
