Best nova backbox

does anybody know wot backbox best fits the nova and is loud??

I really like the Peco Big Bore 4 back box, it is loud. If you want it very loud try a Zorst(i have seen these set of car alarms cus of the vibrations) also try Rage, they make sum good boxes. I don't know wot they are like for fitting but a lot of people seem to have the BB4.

peco are shit and not all of them are a good fit neway, rage are good for the money and are loud n u can get universal ones that u mount urself so u can have it pretty much where u want but u need the linkage pipe as well. if u want one that will go straight on try scorpion or mongoose.

alot of people including myself have ashley exhaust's. they are loud enough and reletively cheap too.

What makes the Peco exhausts so bad,
also with the Rage exhausts do you need to get a different centre pipe to connect the back box to,thanks

why not get a custom exhaust done then i can be as loud and lokk how u want

Peco are bad because theyre tailpipe of "3inch" diameter is only a stick on bit over a 1.5in tailpipe! Although the weldin job on mine is by far the best I've seen on an exhaust compared with the Rage ones I've seen.

I've had mine rebuilt with a custom 2in Slash cut tailpipe, and it will be fiited as part of a full 2in system eventually.

A Nice sounding back box is a Sportex Universal 1.

When i finally do get my Nova i am thinking about the Rage ST10 back box, how do you get the universal boxes to fit, do you have to modify your centre exhaust pipes.

Ive got a stainless straight through off a gte cut and welded to fit everything is perfect sounds really nive but i want more deepness to it rather than high pitched e.g more quality, my mate has a rage b.box um think its 4.5mm with a rolled end and its 10 time louder than mine and give an awsum beefy noise so im gettin rage by far..............

id go for a scorpion if you can afford it. my mate has got one on his 16v clio and it sounds well nice. at the mo ive got a 3 inch peco, which was ok when i first got the car and its a first car and they sound ok and are well cheap 2nd hand, would never buy one brand new though. but ive just bought a magnex back box. but its depends on what you can afford.

Mines really loud but doesnt sound v good when its cold!
Its a 4" slashed poking out the back corner and its diff coz most are just straight out the back. Id reccomend it anyday. Only cost me ?110 aswell.

for pure loudness get a cheery bomb exhaust, i had one and it was throaty on tick over and would set whole lines of car alarms off ! its up there with ashley exhaust and alot cheaper...

just dont get 1 if u do alot of motorway miles :evil:

i made my own box at work for a laugh 6 inch can bout 15 inches long with a tiny little pea shooter tip for a laugh, sounded loud as fcuk but wasnt a controlled sound :lol:

i've got a twin 4" back box with 2.5" system from down pipe and its way too loud so once its all sorted i'm gonna have to get myself a stainless system...

its wicked to attract attention but my car don't need it anymore

^^^ sportex is best had one on my old sxi 1.2 ; with green filter sounded like an RS turbo. (honest).
