Heating system

i have a mk2 dash, and ive noticed that when the heating is off, ot air is still flowing through the side dash vents, which i dont really mind in the winter, but ive had to close the two central vents as only cold air is coming through!

am i to understand its bust? if so, how can i fix it?

You will always get a little air flowing through the vents even with the fans off.
As for cold air coming through the centre vents, thats the way it should be. Only cold air flows through those vents im afraid.
