Hi guys, my nova has been leaking badly for the past few days - the drivers footwell, and not so much in the passengers footwell have been puddles. I know that it is not the door seals, and have heard that it could be the heater matrix? Are there any common leaking places i should look? Thanks.

Take the carpet out and look for rust on the front inner arches, any missing gromets, rusty battery tray, leaky windscreen seal, get someone to run a hose pipe all over the front while you have a good look inside.
Wet carpet can be caused by a leaky heater matrix, but due to the fact that the newest novas are over 10 yrs old most leaks are due to rust!

I have a simular problem, I've taken the whole interior out and discovered that there is a rust patch at the front to the right of the steering collum.

Now I'm stuck for ideas on how to seal it up? Do I use some underseal and some rust prevention or what?
