dont bother with upgrading just the discs. get yourself down the scrappy and pick up some astra gte (16v) or cavalier ATE calipers and 256mm vented discs. much better upgrade, easy to do aswell, straight swap. you need 14" or bigger wheels. if this is a problem, pick up nova gte, gsi, sri or td calipers and vented discs (pretty sure the td had same spec brakes as the gsi), straight swap but no problem with wheel clearance.

the discs wot fit in your sr carrirs anyways.

get some 16v brakes and maybe a nova sri/gsi/td servo

for the 256mm discs and ate calipers expect to pay 30-50
for the smaller nova gsi/sri/td ate calipers and vented discs- 15-30

see www.topbuzz.co.uk
there's a guide on there how to fit them, it really is an easy job and well worth doing of you want your nova to stop effectively.
