if you do that i hope you get caught out as its little idiots like yourself that help keep hiking insurance premiums up for those of us that try to keep legal and above board. You are NOT insured if pulling a stunt like that so if you cant yet afford to cover such mods you should save your money and wait like everyone else.

Sorry if that attitude upsets people but at the end of all the bickering its right lol  .

youll do it anyway. police aren't daft; they can take engine numbers down if they pull you over for a check. then compare it to dvla database then ya screwed. just forewarnin, could happen.

Can't look that similar -
1.2i (Single point injection)
1.6i (Multi point injection)

Just look for the injectors on the fuel rail and it's plain to see.

Fit a 1.3 or 1.4SR engine. They look basically the same. Only one's carb and the others injection. But wouldnt be easily noticable if you kept the flying saucer on!

I think everyones over reacting. Your just as un-insured if you dont declare your alloy wheels, or your spoiler.

However you should be able to declare an SR engine as its not as powerful as a 1.6
