Regrets

Does anybody have any regrets on modifications they've carried out on their cars?

Sometimes I just wish that i'd left it standard apart from lowered/alloys/de-vinyled.

If i'd of just done that i wouldnt come across half the problems i have and wouldnt be in the position im in now with little annoying things that i need to sort out.

Still, whats done is done...

im sure everyone gets it mate. mine is selling my old 1.2 sxi after joining novaload when i got my gsi i realised that with the 1500 quid i had to spend i could have just 1.6 8valve-d my sxi and done a bit of a karl rowntree with it. but the gsi i have is near mint and i guess i get that little bit more respect for it..?

It happens to everyone mate, we do things and then wish we'd never done it afterwards but we learn from our mistakes, it's all part of learing.

I grinded my rear arch lips off to fit my wheels and cut too much off and had to get the two skins welded back up again :roll:

ive been quite lucky most of the things ive coked up have been easy 2 sort out

sometimes i regret takin the vinal off the side of the car as i found the bottom of me door was filled gutted

I regret changing the suspension setup everytime i go over a speed bump! :lol:

i regret my full s/s exhuast sytem from powerfolw coz it rattles...
Wish i had got a magnex or summet like that.

i've spent far too much on my nova for the money i've already spent i could be driving round in a 325 bmw with mot, tax and insurance paid with some left over, but i've gone too far now so gotta see it through really :(

it doesnt bother me what i cud have bought 4 the money ive spent on the sri
i enjoy doing the work 2 it plannin what 2 do next
i dont think i could ever own a standard car
