Just want to give props to the RAC for getting me out of trouble for the second time in a week. some of you may (or may not) have read my Alternator gave up the ghost last week.
Anyway, sent the car to my mechanic to replace it and all seemed well until today when my car started pissing petrol out. My mechanic had left a hose loose only for it to rest on the alternator belt. Well, to cut a long story short it had a gaping hole cut in it so petrol was randomly spurting out.
So along came the RAC to get me out of my sticky situation and they replaced the hose right there and then. Both my encouters with the RAC chaps were pleasant, service with a smile and a jobs well done (and they both came in less than 1/2 hour).
and all for ?40 a year.
