its sods law mate, sods law. don't ever let anyone influence how much to sell youre car for. aim high i always say. me and a mate saw a mental bodykitted g or h plater 1.2 in the back of revs mag a month or so ago; nothing special but had just been resprayed with the mad kit, 17"'s exhaust filter alarm and some history. didn't say mileage or owners etc.. this dude wanted ?4000 for it. ?4000!!!!!!!! we rang him to take the piss out of him and he told us the car was gone!!!! he got ?3750 for it and couldn't believe it himself. he rekoned that the fresh respray, low insurance and body kit looks made a mug of the new owner. that was ?800's worth of car that.
