Hmmm, 1.4SR Mk1? No such thing. The Mk1 SR was a 1.3 engine (unless they introduced a very late Mk1 shell with the Mk2 1.4SR engine).
Jim
they did do 1.4 MK1s, tons of them, most are on G plate or later. I might want the bumper and grill from it if you selling those bits :)

there yours once i put the mk2 face lift, where u live mate?
i cant rember where he said it needs welding, but my uncle should have picked the mot fail sheet up for me cos i forgot to get it, and also a mate can do the weding at college for me :D
the 1300 engine was from A reg 1983 and was in the form of the 1.3L and 1.3SR same engine.
in 10/89 the 1300 engine was replaced with the 1400 engine in the form of 1.4L and 1.4SR
So in short yes there were mk1 1.4SR's in G an H reg depending on when registered.
This engine continued into mk2 for H and J reg 1991-1992 with a CR box.
Then the SRI was born late 1992-1993 and that MPI unit continued into the corsa for a year or 2 before the 1.4 16V replaced it.
Will
p.s. come on where does it need welding, inner arches? boot floor? cills? all underneath everywhere? ;)
