most novas are gonna go the way the old chevettes went i guess the chevette was its predecessor. really not many of them around anymore. but the gte/sri's/gsi etc and modified are the novas saving grace i think because well they're a bit more special aren' they? so they will keep going for a little while longer yet.

i didnt know vaux made A reg Novas, i thought they started at a B reg! dont i feel stupid, never seen an A reg around before!

i reckon Vaux should relaunch the Nova as a special Edition with a big block engine, and make an Estate version as well! :D

Iv'e seen Y reg Nova's kicking about. Just think in 4 years time you could get free road tax on that(25 years!). All you need to do is find an old lady in one buy it off her, max it up and Roberts your fathers brother.

Sorry mate, that don't work anymore - the government stopped the free tax rolling on and gave it a cut off point - 1975 I think, can't remember exactly, for example, NO MK2 Escort will ever be tax exempt!

Judging by the "3.000.000" on the banner, I'd guess it was the 3 Millionth Nova to roll off the production line?

lol - my 1st "long term" relationship involved a girl and an "A" reg brown nova from wigan! A113 summut - hatch back - brown interior.

thats what got me hooked on them - didnt get my nova for nearly 5 years after we split up - not out of any feelings or owt - didnt passs me test till 5 yrs later!

I remember that chevette from cannock peester, was black stripped out etc? Many a night watching that side-ways off down the A5!

Glad i keep with my D-reg and didnt re-shell it, Although most the body is new anyway. Like it more and more the older it gets.

I never really went over much in my nova to be honest, and cant go over in it any more because i cant get it over the speed bumps!

I go over every now and then, but only if my friends are over there.

I know Mark Harrison who owns the blue turbo, met him a few years ago now. As far as i know mate he still has the nova. He has had many people look at it but mainly dreamers. Last time i spoke to him i think he was thinking of stripping it!

We havnt really done much with the astra so far. Should be going in to have the body touched up though before the summer as its not as perfect as it was in its day, and hopefully phase 3.5 for when we go the pod. No doubt you will see it over the summer.

if anyone off novaload wins the lottery; build a factory manufacturaing new nova shells. then no one will care about any warehouse myths or dents in roof or rusty rear arches.

theres a pizza hut over there now; only have to cross one speed hump to get to it (i think)

?2400 complete with panels etc. thats pretty cheap for a brand new shell.

maybe in a few more years novas will become proper clasics and someone might build them again??
