a twin choke weber is a single carb, with 2 barrels, it will not give you anywhere near as much power as 2 weber 40's, the cam will add a bit of BHP but won't be as quick as a GTE/GSi

The Weber 32/34 Carb is easier to set up, better on fuel, takes less maintainence and is easier to fit, but as there are abviously 2 carbs to a set of twin 40's, they can chuck more fuel into an engine and are therefore able to provide more power - Imho - the 32/34 is a beter carb if you intend to use you car on a daily basis for commuting etc as well as having a play!

Imho - I think you should take it for a test drive, I bet you are pleasantly suprised!

And if it is that good, you can allways stick t40's on at a later date or do an engine swap - a good base shell is worth a lot

Carl, not 100% on the land rover idea, but CP told me Haynes rekon it came from a landrover so might be work a look, if you find one give the numbers stamped on to the carb and I look it up. As for the manifold, what engine is it to fitted to?

The only problem I see from getting one from a landrover is that you won't have the correct adaptor plate to mount it to a vauxhall manifold, so you would have to purchase one new from Weber, to fit the 32/34 to a 1200 you will need a 1300SR Twin choke manifold, which you remove the 3 standard carb mounting rods and fit the adaptor plate between manifold and carb.

Hope that makes sense..
