the fronts bottom out easily if you set them dead low.....

All depends on your budget as coilovers are alot more expensive than shocks & springs
plus if you are gonna consider rear coilovers then consider strengthening the rear turrets. as standard they are by no means able for supporting the complete weight of the car. after time and bumps the turret will give way.

if you going balls out then stick on some coilovers, but ther only in ther owne when your on the track..or id just go for shock & spring combo, like some spax top adjusters. :)
lets just say im planning on Coilovers but i want it as low as poss, so i need to know what i can and cant do on the car (brian u have the idea what im getting at)

Shop around when buying coilovers there are a lot that are not suitable for there aplication and just cause you have coilovers does not mean you will be able to go low, some brands are actually designed to only go 20-30mm lower than standard nova height. Much lower than this causes issues on some with the seals poping and the whole shock body bottoming out.
IMHO for a off the shelf coilover unit you cud do a shitload worse than the FK units. I got Ian to measure some at BAT, they have short shock bodies meaning you can go lower than most without the body bottoming out and the rears are height adjustable on the beam which is a nice addition. Rick
spax do coilovers for 500 quid. but they look like normal shocks and springs on the back and proper coilovers on the front. do u have to modify anything to make coilovers fit on the back as there aint that much space in the arch anyway

Yes the inner arches do need modding!!! As with most things on a Nova......With a big Hammer!
My Coilovers have been on for over a year and I never strengthened the turrets! I suppose I should just in case, but they've been fine up to now.
My Mate runs FK's on his Corsa and they seem to be very impressive! But they're the non dampening adjustable version, so you can't play with the settings.... Just height

You can get the FK ones with koni inserts that are height and damping adjustable, these are the top spec ones they do and seem very nice. Rick

thats where my orders goin next week :) they've just developled a kit for the Nova and i'm gonna sort it out... its air.. not hydraulic...
Obviously for everyday use it probably better to run coilovers but i'm not planning on doin stupid mileage in it... so i think i'll beok

Cool!!! Never seen or heard of a Nova on Airbags or Hydraulics!!! Its about time someone did one! Fair play to you, but be warned it won't handle anything like a good set of shocks and springs or Coilovers. But will look mega cool! Post pics when you do it please.....
Here you go...Nova on Adjustable Air suspension !
