Unless I am getting worse at math, ?1400 + ?2600 = ?4000, not ?3000?

Think when i brought it about 2.5 years ago it cost me ?2.5k or ?2.7k got the recept somewhere.
Since that day the costs have just rose and rose but at the last time or reconing its cost me ?28k with around another ?4-5k needed to get it running and show worthy for this season   I fuucking hate novas its cost me TVR tuscan money now which is gay and its totally unsailable now as i would get a max of ?5-6k back for it so i might as well keep the bastard thing for life now, the fuucking joys. Bought for ?800 in may 2001
When i have it back on the road, about ?10,000
And i know i still wont be happy.. So instead of ripping it apart again i'm gonna build another one, i know all my mistakes and could probably build the same car for much less!
Keith
Far too much. One of the biggest regrets I have is spending so much on Novas...
Oh well you only live once lol

Thats one thing, i dont regret it at all...
If you really think about it, and put it into perspective..
Any mates from school who dont drive, spend the majority of there money going out and getting pissed, taking drugs etc.
Others have kids, and one of my mates is actually married with 2 kids which i still find hard to believe, were only 20/21!!
And then there's me, i go out the maybe twice a month, enjoy myself, good social life, and a Nova that i'm very proud of..
Keith
indeed breeny how much did you piss up the wall over 2/3 weeks this xmas?? ;)
ROF
I am going out a lot less and not drinking much in order to pay for my head work over the next few months, then comes the bottem end so another few months, it will all be worth it in the end.
As for money
Sting: ?925 (in May 2001, with 58k FSH etc etc, was mint bck then*SOB*)
Mods: ?1500 (inc ?350 alarm, lmfao)
Engine: ?500 approx for everything done and parts etc etc (thanks to those important ppl there, you know who you are)
so ?3k?
broke it for ?700 in parts
GSI.... havent added it up
project......... gona total 5/6 grand when finished (most on engine)
not that bad imo

everyone allways goes on about how much theve ploughed into their cars, and ppl take the piss cos they say 'oh, you'll only get a fracton of what youve spent when you sell it'.
thats not the point. surely?
i see it as a sort of hobby. not a way of making money
my bro spends all his money on vinyl and new dj stuff i spend mine on my car.
my mum is always on at me for spending money on the car but never says anything to him about spending ?500 on new speakers
its just society at large sees modifying cars as a waste of money, yet they dont stop to think what their wasting their money on
