ant used the car for bout a month, went i started it and turned the heaters on it was making a right racket!!
any idea what is causing it??

could be the bearings seized

Yes, bearings.... Mine is the same on cold days if I haven't driven it anywhere. Run it on full for a bit then turn it down and it should be OK.
Open bonnet, remove plastic cover from behind bulkhead bit (Where the wiper link arm is), spray some WD40 on to the bearings of the fan blower, jobs done.

or u cud replace the heater motor (dependin which one it is) ?10 from scrap yard, fairly easy to fit if u got a haynes manual.

Mine started doing it about 3 days ago, only when i first turn it on and its on 1 and then when i turn it off.
I'll try the WD40 too :) Although last time i WD40d the heater i was getting gassed everytime i turn it on for a day or 2. Good fun tho :lol:

id say in the end the motor will need replacin cos itll prob just get worse n worse like mine did n ends up doin it all the time.
