getting stuborn top mountts off coilovers

got a set of avo coilovers but one of them has the top mount assembly stuck on well and truly, have already bust the adjusting rod nut tryin to get the bolt off, any ideas guys??

is there not a allen key inbetween the nut?? if not use mole grips and a rag on the shaft :P

its a coilover shaft with ajustable damping so no allen socket to get a purchase on, tried the mole grip thing cant get enough grip on it
