hello

i own a nova 1.2 with a problem. brake trouble seems to be due to - at the very least - a leaky vacuum line going into the brake servo. i hope the servo itself isn't damaged.

i have next-to-no technical knowledge, but any suggestions on how to reattach and seal that line would be appreciated.

cheers,

Smith.

at the servo end it literally just pulls out of the servo.........

at the inlet manifold end it will be bolted on, simply unscrew it.

your car is a 1.2, so a servo hose from any carburettor version nova will do except the 1.0l

1.2, 1.3, 1.4

replace the seal on the servo... they rot

also check the one way valve by blowing down the pipe

Vauxhall stock flexible vaccum hose and the fittings to go round corners etc.

sounds to me like the garage you went to decided to rob you
