I've been having a play around with my Batmotorsport2 front bumper today to see how easily it will fit.... And as the Modifying Nova Haynes manual stated that it was a nightmare and was no where near the right size. Im afraid to say they were spot on  Its about 1 inch out either side :o
A lot a filling is going to be required to make it fit. And even then its going to stick out lots eitherside.

Has anyone else with this bumper had problems? Or is it just that I got a bad one out of the mould?

wot are you doing? :o Altho i dont mind the bat 2 front bumper (looked good on ian's) i dont think your car needs it mate, i always seen you as more of a subtle guy...

However, there's a local guy fitted one, had loads of problems, and basically had to cut, shape and mould it to fit properly. So you've got alot of work on your hands! Plus your car's dead low and you'll probably end up riping it off unless you fit 17's!

lol, u cant get a bad one out of a mould.

its a mould, therefore there all the same (give a few mm)

its must just be a bad mould to start off with---> therefore the copies will be bad

The bumper is a pile of shit when it comes to fitting.

As you said its at least 2-3 inches to wide for a nova to start with.

Wot I have gathered is most people just bend the sides in and join it to the car. Cant say I was to fond of doing that.

Mine was extended in to meet the car. Doesnt look to wide on mine, at least I dont think it does.

Keith,
I know you love your smooth Novas.... and so do I. Thats why my Silver GSi is going to be rebuilt just like yours (Its all ready well underway by the way) But at the moment until the Silver one is finished (this time next year hopefully) I want to get my "Modifying" bug out the way and do some bodywork mods. Thats why i've decided to "do up" the Red GTE. Its all a bit secret at the moment, and it will be unique, nothing OTT just different.......

WATCH THIS SPACE........

i can imagine that the Bat 2 is too wide for a standard arched nova as i didn't have to trim mine at all to fit it to the wide arch kit... which is alot wider that the standard car...

bad darts from Bat motorsport... think they should keep the original and call it the Bat 2 Wide and make a better sized mould for standard nova's... seen as they seem to almost work in a one off order basis it won't be much of a hassle for them

the guy who spraying my car once had a carlton automotive nova cossie bumper brought in to be fitted and sprayed. He had to chop it in 2, take 4 inch of it and bond it back together.

Qc viper which was good qaulity but looked fooking horrible
Gsi which is laying up the back of my garage
Abyss which i think is too plain

oh and i must'nt forget the wicked mk2 bumper that came on the car

That looks really good Phil! I've never seen that front end before on a Nova. The only down side is that it makes your wheels look small... :( Are they 15's?

Neil don't be a barry boy!

Putting a big gay bumper on it will ruin it!

I'll get down on my hands and knees and beg ?? :!:

Sorry Breeny, its going to have to be done.... I've got the urge :(

But don't worry, my Silver GSi (in Turbo's section) will be the cleanest most orginal & lowest Nova ever........ :D Well i'll try.... Its going to be inbetween Karl's, yours and KRobinson's :P

But for the time being....ie this year, Im going Boy Racer..... have faith, its its all being done in moderation and taste....I hope :?
