i remembered the last thing i needed to ask: my crap headlights,
they are clean- well as clean as they'll go, have tried loads of bulbs incuding 100w, and they are angled correctly - so why cant i see any further than a few metres at night?!!! they are mk 2 lights and i've been told the're crap but this is stupid. im considering a hid conversion- has anyone looked into it- eg cost / hastle factor and all that?

Mine are exactly the same - total crap. Mines having 100W spotlamps anyway so I only need the headlights for dipped beam!

Worth remembering at this time of year you will probably have your heaters on, rear heated screen, stereo (plus any amps), windscreen washers, rear washer etc etc etc
So the current being drawn with that little lot on is a lot higher than other times of the year when you don't have heaters, wipers etc on so it'll probably have an effect on your headlights.

same for me, but i have 100watt blue tinted off road bulbs, lucky for me though i live in a built up area so i have much assisted light from the road side, although most of my driving is at night, might explain why my eyes are foooked...
